A whiteboard-ready platform for Assessment for Learning and adaptive teaching, from starter to plenary, for what the class actually knows.
Halfway through the lesson you realise the activity isn't landing and there's no time to build something new from scratch.
Plenary Studio drafts a replacement in under a minute. Adapted for the class actually in the room, not the class you planned for last week.
Lesson going off plan?
≈ 50 secondsThe activity you planned — turns out they’d already nailed it.
Generate a stretch version — same topic, but harder.
On the board — before they look up.
Type a topic. Watch the resource draft itself. Edit anything you want. Show it on the board, all from the same window.
You can't adapt your teaching to a class until you know what they understand. Not what you covered last lesson. Not what the textbook said they should know. What they actually understand, right now. Plenary Studio surfaces what your class actually understands, so you can decide how to move forward.
A quick check guides your next step: re-teach, move on, adapt or stretch.
Good adaptive teaching keeps the whole class moving towards one goal, not down separate tracks. The lesson objective stays the same. What changes is the scaffolding, the phrasing, the level of challenge.
Plenary Studio is built for that. Write questions before the lesson or generate them mid-flow, then adapt as you read the room. Rephrase for clarity, add a scaffold, or raise the challenge. Assessment for learning, fast enough to act on.
Every format offers a range of question types and levels of challenge, for different points in the lesson, and the students in front of you.

Generate crosswords and wordsearches. Print them, or complete them together on the board.
Generate or paste a paragraph, then auto- or hand-pick the gaps. Great for mini-whiteboard tasks.
Automate show, cover, and recall tasks. Great for memorising diagram features or keywords.

Try any palette or font — the board updates live.
Save the resources you want to keep, name them, tag them by topic, subject, or class. Reopen, edit, and reuse them next lesson, next term, next year. Your library grows with the work you've chosen to keep.
Plenary Studio is made by a UK secondary physics teacher who uses it daily with real KS3 and KS4 classes across the full ability range, including SEND and lower-attaining groups. Every feature exists because a lesson needed it. Nothing goes live until it has survived contact with a real classroom.
About the name
"Plenary" comes from the Latin plenus meaning "complete". In UK classrooms it usually refers to the activity that closes a lesson, but the etymology points wider. Our logo is made up of three segments: start, middle, end, closing into one ring. Plenary Studio makes your lessons complete.
No pupil data
By design, not as an afterthought. We never ask for pupil records and build nothing from them. Teachers use it; classes see it on the board.
No advertising
We don’t sell your information or what you create. To run the AI features we send what you submit to our service providers only to deliver the tool. They do not train their models with your data and your uploaded resources are not stored.
No tracking
No analytics, no behaviour profiling, no advertising or cross-site trackers following you around the web. The only outside services we ever touch are the ones that a feature you’re using needs, like playing a YouTube clip, or signing in.
Teacher in control
Plenary Studio drafts, you decide. It doesn’t teach the lesson or replace your judgement. Every word is reviewable before it goes on the board.
